Built for my own kids.

My son's a junior this year. Engineering-bound, hopefully to Virginia Tech, which means that a good SAT score is critical to his acceptance. But with all of the SAT "noise" on the internet, he didn't know where to begin studying. Everything he could find was really expensive, just a practice exam, or both. Nothing coached him along the way. Nothing guided him to where he needed the most help. And most importantly, nothing was engaging and kept him involved every day without constant reminders.

Around the same time, my twin daughters left for a week of church camp. No phones allowed. Before they left they sat me down and gave me written instructions: log into their Duolingo, their BeReal, their Locket, every single morning, so their streaks wouldn't die while they were gone. I don't even know how half of those apps work. I did it anyway, every morning at 6am, for a week.

I have zero emotional investment in a cartoon owl or a flame icon next to my daughter's name. Didn't matter. I still didn't want to be the one who broke the streak. So I figured, if that can get a grown man out of bed for an app he doesn't even like, it can probably get a 16 year old to open a practice question.

If you're a parent reading this, you already know the fight. Reminding. Nagging. A workbook sitting untouched on the nightstand since March. I've got one of those going myself, right now, upstairs.

So I built something with real SAT and ACT questions, reasoning behind every answer instead of just a red X, wrapped in the same streaks and levels that had me checking Duolingo at 6am all week. My son used it. Then his friends wanted in too.

This isn't a company with a mission statement. It's me, some late nights, and three teenagers who test everything before anyone else sees it.
